This High Baroque chapel is located at the eastern entrance of the old country road leading into the village centre. It was first mentioned in 1653. Every Wednesday, the curate of Mühlbach celebrated Holy Mass here. Over time, this so-called "Atzwanger Stöckl" fell into a state of disrepair. In 1778, it was rebuilt in its present form at the personal expense of Johann Atzwanger, then owner of the Lindenwirt inn.
The chapel dates from the Late Baroque period of the 18th century and features a fresco of Mariahilf (Our Lady of Perpetual Help). Inside, it houses a particularly valuable Baroque altar. A beautiful wrought-iron grille stands in front of the altar. The chapel has a rectangular apse, a bell tower, a semicircular window, a dome and a ribbed cross vault.
