Accessible Hiking Trail at the Lake

St. Josef am See/S. Giuseppe al Lago, Kaltern an der Weinstraße/Caldaro sulla Strada del Vino, Alto Adige Wine Road
The accessible Path leads from the Lido to St. Josef Church at Lake Kaltern. Over 1.2 km, the flat, paved trail features comfortable rest benches and offers stunning views.
from center
The Path connects the Lido at Lake Kaltern with St. Josef Church, stretching about 1.2 km. The walk takes approximately 20–25 minutes. The entire path is paved and nearly flat, making it suitable for people with limited mobility. Wheelchair users, people with walkers or canes, and families with strollers can easily navigate the route.
Itinerary

The trail starts directly at the Lido, heading south and merging above the caravan park into a paved, low-traffic field road. The path is wide, step-free, and mostly straight, with gentle inclines that typically pose no challenge.

Along the route, there are four benches for resting. Three are easily accessible and comfortable, while one is slightly off the path and harder to reach for those with mobility limitations. The path is mostly exposed to sunlight and is illuminated in the evening.
Tip: Bring sun protection if you are sensitive to heat.

At the end of the trail, you arrive at St. Josef Church. The church square is also paved and fully accessible. The Mirror Path offers a short, easy walk with lovely views. A bus stop for line 130 is located at the church.

The return route follows the same path.
