Sesvennascharte

From the large car park at the entrance to Schlinig, hike through the village to the cross-country skiing centre. From there you can follow the wide hiking trail no. 1 through the Schliniger valley. Past the black wall and the waterfall, you will reach the Sesvennahütte a short time later. This offers a place to stop for refreshments. From there, follow the signs for "Sesvennasee-Sesvennascharte no. 5" to the west. The trail then follows a moderate incline up to the foot of the head with the "Hüttenhang", which is already clearly visible from the hut. From here, crossing to the right, you reach a small saddle where you briefly lose sight of the hut. Then follow the path further to the right and descend a little. This allows you to avoid the rather steep N slope. Continuing southwest, you reach a striking rocky head with a constriction. If you pass the rock head on the right, you reach the upper, wide basin below the Sesvennascharte. Here you can catch a glimpse of the Sesvennascharte for the first time. Along a slight ridge, straight ahead over slight depressions, you climb up to the Furkelsee. The Furkelsee lies directly below the saddle and there is not much left to reach the saddle, which can be reached in a right turn.
