A pleasant walk from Barbian village centre along the road to the panoramic bridge, offering beautiful views of the Eisack Valley.

This pleasant walk leads from the village centre of Barbian through the sunny rural landscape to the panoramic bridge. Along the way, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Eisack Valley and the surrounding mountains. The route mainly follows a pavement alongside the road and leads to the bridge, which crosses the deep Zargenbach gorge and connects Barbian with Saubach.
Itinerary

The walk starts in the village centre of Barbian. From there, follow the road towards Saubach. The route runs mainly alongside the road and descends gently through the sunny landscape to the panoramic bridge. From the 120-metre-long bridge, you can enjoy beautiful views across the Eisack Valley, up towards the Barbian Waterfalls and down into the Ganderbach gorge. Return along the same route.

Directions
Leave the motorway at Klausen and follow the Brenner state road SS12 towards Bolzano. After approximately six kilometres, you will reach Waidbruck. Turn right towards Barbian and follow the road uphill for around four kilometres to the village centre.
