A lovely walk into the Schleiser Valley, with plenty of opportunities to carry on walking a little further up.
Itinerary
The hike begins at the parking lot near Polsterhof and heads into the valley along Forest Road No. 10 until the turnoff to the left toward Laatscheralm. Trail No. 11 then climbs somewhat more steeply until the Schleiser Valley opens up and the Laatscher Alm and Schleiser Alm come into view. Once you reach your destination, there are several options for hiking a bit higher, such as the Monterodes and the Tellakopf. The Guardas and Arunda peaks are a bit more challenging.
The return trip follows the same route.

Alternatively, the Laatscheralm can be reached from Schlinig via the Klostersäge or the Monterodes, or from the Tellahof in Taufers via the Tellascharte.
