This varied circular hike leads from Oberrasen via the Mudler mountain inn to the panoramic Lutterkopf peak. The route combines shaded forest sections with open alpine terrain and impressive views of the Antholz Valley, the Pustertal Valley and the Dolomites.
After the initial ascent through the forest, the landscape opens up in the upper section and the path continues across open terrain to the summit. At the top of Lutterkopf peak, you are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding mountains – a true scenic peak.
The descent follows trail no. 5 to the serviced alpine huts Brunnerwiesenalm and Hochrautalm, which are perfect for a relaxing break.
This tour is ideal for experienced hikers looking for a varied circular hike with a summit experience and refreshment opportunities.
The starting point is the parking area before the Oberstallerhof farm above Oberrasen. From there, follow trail no. 20 through the forest up to the Mudlerhof mountain inn.
From Mudlerhof, continue on trail no. 31 towards Lutterkopf peak. After the forest ascent, the terrain opens up near the summit.
At Lutterkopf peak, enjoy impressive panoramic views over the Pustertal Valley, the Dolomites and the surrounding mountains.
The descent follows trail no. 5 to the Brunnerwiesenalm hut and then to the Hochrautalm hut (both serviced).
From there, return to Oberrasen and the starting point.
