The winter hike to Kalcheralm mountian hut starts at the Kalcheralm parking lot below the Jaufen Pass. The route follows a mostly level, prepared winter trail. After about 45 minutes, the mountain hut is reached, offering a place to rest and refreshments, perfect for a break amid the snowy winter landscape.
For a slightly more challenging variant, see the hike from the Ratschings-Jaufen mountain station to Kalcheralm mountain hut.
