Long distance hike 4th stage: Refuge Sesvenna - Mals

After a hearty breakfast at the Sesvenna refuge (2,262m), we set off out of the valley, past the steep waterfall along a pleasant hiking trail to the beautifully situated "Schliniger Alp" and on to the mountain village of "Schlinig" (1,730m), which is worth a visit in both summer and winter. From Schlinig take hiking trail no. 20 - the "Seppelesteig" trail towards "Prämajur" - at the foot of the Watles ski and adventure mountain. Via a wide meadow path with spectacular views over the Malser Haide in the Upper Vinschgau Valley, we discover the imposing Marienberg monastery from afar. We continue along the "Patersteig" trail no. 1 B to the village of "Schleis". Passing through the tranquil farming village of Schleis along the foot of the Malser Haide, we reach the main town of Mals with its famous Romanesque churches on a flat path and thus the end of the route.
