Monastery Walls, Vineyards and the Archaeological Trail

This varied hiking tour around Brixen is easily accessible by public transport and combines culture, nature and archaeology into a unique experience. The starting point is Neustift Abbey, one of South Tyrol’s most important cultural landmarks, which can be reached from Brixen railway station in a short time by bus lines 320.2 or 320.4. Surrounded by historic walls, vineyards and orchards, the monastery offers impressive views over the wine-growing landscape of the Eisack Valley.

The route continues along sun-drenched slopes past renowned wineries such as Köfererhof and Strasserhof. Quiet paths through vineyards and small villages lead to Raas, where magnificent panoramic views over the valley await.
