The "Kaserer Bild" chapel, named after the nearby farm "Kaserer Hof", is a traditional place of pilgrimage in Steinegg|Collepietra. The chapel is located directly on the street Riedl on the ridge of the mountain Riedl, an area that is one of the oldest settlements in South Tyrol. In its current form, the neo-Romanesque chapel dates back to 1871, with the small ridge turret added in 1874.
Inside the chapel you will find a lovingly designed, neo-Gothic altar with the image of the Madonna, called "Kaserer-Mutter". According to legend, this image of the Virgin Mary originally hung on a mighty larch tree that once stood exactly where the chapel is now built. The stories and legends surrounding the image and the building of the chapel tell of the deep faith and conviction of the people in the miraculous power of the ‘’Kaserer-Mutter‘’.
The chapel was recently renovated and is now in excellent condition. Holy masses are celebrated regularly in the summer months, bringing this special place back to life.
The little church is only opened on such special occasions. Otherwise, it can only be viewed from the outside.
However, it is definitely worth a visit - not only because of its religious significance, but also because of the idyllic location and the fascinating history that surrounds this chapel.

"Huafwond" Panorama Climbing Area
An absolute highlight for experienced climbers, a beautifully laid-out climbing area on Sonnenberg mountain in Partschins/Parcines with more than 100 sq. mt. of panorama terraces, grill facilities, benches and tables and fantastic views of the Dolomite peaks and the Meran area.
More than 30 climbing routes, from grade II to IX in difficulty, and a number of rope-ways – some over 30 mt. long.
How to get to the climbing area:
Simply take the Texelbahn cable car in Partschins up to the mountain station then walk 7 min. along the “Dursterhof” path to the rock-face turning off after a 5 min. walk to the right in a westerly direction.
By car to the „Dursterhof“ farm, then a 30 min. walk to the rock face, following the Giggelberg path then turning uphill after 25 min. towards the west.
The idyllic mountain lake, situated at 2252 metres above sea level, lies in a deep natural basin surrounded by the rugged cliffs of the Sella Group. The lake can be reached from the top station of the Boé cable car in just 20 minutes on an easy footpath. Those who want to walk a little longer can reach the Franz Kostner hut on the Vallon from Lake Boé on path no. 638.
The hamlets are farming communities spread over the slopes of Val Badia at an altitude of between 1200 and 1700 metres.
They differ from typical farms in the rest of South Tyrol in their concentrated form as well as their basic structure and administration.
The space under the bridge leading to the barn and the paths that link everything together belong to all the farmers in the hamlet.
The surrounding field are devided so that each family can earn a living.
The farm houses are located one next to the other in the hamlets and next to them the fodder stores, the corn silo, the wood shed, the well and a small chapel.
A real natural experience for young and old is the High Ropes Course Lasa in the Litzer Waldele forest. The complex has 10 courses with 100 platforms at different heights and skill levels.

Mount Conturines, located in the Fanes-Senes-Braies natural park in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage, is the highest mountain in the Fanes group of which it is also one of the most representative.
The hike to Mt. Conturines, in the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park, starts in San Cassiano / Capanna Alpina. The ascent to the cave is challenging, the hike is therefore recommended for well trained mountaineers only.
On trail no.11 climb up o the Col de Locia towards Fanes until you reach the Gran Plan (great plain in Ladin language). Continue to the left on a slope of mountain pines and climb on steep screes to the foot of Mt. Conturines at 2800 m, where you will find the entrance of a bear cave.
The discovery of the Conturines cave at the end of the 80s (in 1987) was a big sensation: In the cave there were found fossil remains of a cave bear. Studies of the bones have subsequently revealed that the fossilized skull, teeth, and bones found in the cave do not originate, as initially suspected, from a cave bear of recent times, but rather do belong to a cave bear of the Middle Ice Age. The Conturines bear was named Ursus ladinicus, in honor of the Ladin valley where it was found.
The access to the cave is allowed only on the occasion of guided hikes organized by the Alta Badia Tourism Cooperative. The fossil remains are exposed in the Museum Ladin Ursus ladinicus in San Cassiano.

A peaceful spot is waiting for you at the entrance to the village of Colfosco, where you and your family can spend your afternoons in the shade of larch and fir trees with friendly farm animals.
Along the easy walk, you will get to know lively goats and hard-working hens and rabbits. The route leads to an educational house where you can explore the forest and nature and stimulate your senses.
In the heart of the park, you can admire a pretty pond housing a family of ducks living in harmony with some chattering geese. Nearby, the watermill recalls the ancient transformation of wheat into flour and the traditional peasant oven, where children's workshops with bread baking are still offered. Children can have fun and climb safely on the towers of the playground built in the shape of a fort.
The park is open every day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, although most of the animals are brought to the stable around 5:00 PM. Starting from September 20th, the animals will take refuge in the stable to stay warm, but you will still find the ducks waiting for you at the park.
The park is open all year round, and during the colder months, the ducks, who don't need the warmth of the stable, will be there to greet you.
At the end of the parking lot, pass the game reserve. Trail. n° 9 continues through the forest, along the ditch until it turns left crossing a small bridge over the waters of the glacier. The winding path continues up to three cascades, made up of water from the glacier, then descending to the flat section of the woodlands and back again to the starting point.
In 2022, on the initiative of the meditation group of La Val, and under the direction of labyrinth expert Gernot Candolini, a labyrinth was built in the centre of the area occupied by the former church of San Genesio. It is a simple Gothic labyrinth, consisting of five paths traced with brook stones. Many things here in Dlijia vedla remind us of the transience of life: the remains walls of the old church, the abandoned cemetery.
