The meadows of Inner- and Außergsell spread out on the north side of the mighty Dreischusterspitze. The Gsellwiesen meadows are traditionally mown and the larch meadows are evidence of the mountain farming landscape.

A winter alpine hut hike that starts in the small holiday village of Karersee | Carezza and leads through a snow-covered fairy-tale landscape to Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Along the way, you can enjoy impressive views of the snow-covered Dolomites while walking through forest paths and gently sloping meadows. Along the route, several huts invite you to take a cozy break, including the Franzin Alm hut, the Ochsenhütte hut, the Restaurant Tschein, the Frommeralm hut, and the Hagneralm hut.
The snowshoe hike in Obereggen with views of the impressive Latemar leads through snow-covered forests and gentle meadows. The destination of this easy hike is the “Häusler Sam” mountain hut, which invites you to take a leisurely break.
This picturesque winter hike begins at the famous Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), whose deeply snow-covered shores exude a special sense of tranquility. From here, you follow the so-called Templweg. The Templweg is loved by hikers looking for a peaceful walk in contact with nature. The well-prepared path leads through quiet winter landscapes, dense forests, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomite peaks. Following the path further, you eventually reach Obereggen, a well-known winter sports resort, perfect for a well-deserved break or to continue the tour. The hike follows pleasantly walkable trails and is suitable for all experience levels.
This first stage of the Multiday Hike - Alpine Pearls is a very varied start to your adventure. The hike begins near Bozen|Bolzano, in the small village of Kardaun|Cardano, at an altitude of 280 metres. On the way to the next little village of Karneid|Cornedo, you will come across numerous vineyards and from a distance you can also catch a view of the imposing castle complex of the Castle of Karneid. Through deciduous forest and later mixed forest, you reach Steinegg|Collepietra at an altitude of 820 metres via the "Rittersteig" trail. Here you will find several places to stop for refreshments and you can also enjoy the unique >Museum of Steinegg. Across the hill "Pstosser Bühl", you can already enjoy the first wonderful views of the Schlern and the Rosengarten. You walk right past the earth pyramids of Steinegg|Collepietra and then descend into the Valley of Tiers|Tires to the small village of Breien|Briè. Along the torrent Briè you reach Tiers|Tires, our first stage destination on our 5-day hike.

Characterising the cross-country skiing trail in Solda is easy. It is a simple but fascinating route at 1,900 m above sea level with views of the Ortler, Cevedale and Königspitze mountains. With the certainty of snow throughout the winter, the 4,8 km long, high altitude trail in Solda is sure to excite skating and classic cross-country skiers. The high altitude trail in Solda is groomed from the middle of December to the middle of April. The one-day ticket can be purchased directly at the valley station of the Kanzel chairlift, where parking is available.
Hiking along the old water courses is one of the favorite Sunday activities of the South Tyroleans - hardly surpising, since the leisurely walks can be undertaken with the whole family. One of the most beautiful is the "Schnalswaalweg"
This winter hike follows the "Herrensteig" from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to Lake Carezza (Karer See | Lago di Carezza), considered one of the most magnificent alpine lakes. The lake, located at the foot of the Latemar and known for its deep green waters and the beautiful mountain backdrop, is frozen in winter and usually covered with a white blanket of snow.
From Welschnofen | Nova Levante, the path ascends with a steady, gentle incline up to Lake Carezza. Along the "Herrensteig", you are treated to beautiful views of the picturesque village of Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Upon reaching the lake, a breathtaking panorama opens up with views of the impressive mountain ranges of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar.

This easy and nice winter hike along the Sissi Promenade at Karersee | Carezza takes winter hikers in the footsteps of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sissi. The path, named after her, was one of her favorite walking routes. At the beginning of the tour, you pass the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, where the Empress resided during her stays. The route then leads past old farms through a picturesque winter landscape offering breathtaking views of the Latemar and ends at the Sissi Monument, which was erected in her honor.
