The Music village band of Tesido invites you to its summer concert. Enjoy the melodies in the open air, from traditional pieces to lively brass music. Food and drink is provided from 07:00 pm. Concert at 08.30 pm.

After the Holy Mass and the Margarethen Procession in the Parish Church of St. Margaret, the ceremonial parade of the Music village band Monguelfo and the Music village band "Schützenkapelle Pichl/Gsies" begins at around 10:45 am., marching through the village center to the music pavilion at the Piazza Cenntrale. At 11:00 am., the Music village band "Schützenkapelle Pichl/Gsies" will entertain guests with a concert, followed by a performance of the Music village band from Monguelfo at 01:00 pm. Delicious food and drinks will be available.

To the north-east of Monguelfo in the Pustertal valley, rises Welsperg Castle, which is still in good condition. Ruin Thurn is located on the opposite, wooded hill. The two castles can be explored in the form of a pretty circular hike that leads from Monguelfo along one side of the Gsieser Bach stream into the valley and on to the village of Tesido and from there back to Monguelfo. 50-minute hike from the Auronzo hut 2330 m to the Forcella Lavaredo. The blue hour is a moment of calm and transition, heralding the imminent sunrise with a picturesque play of colours. The e-bike tour starts in Monguelfo and leads along the idyllic Val Casies Valley cycle route to S. Martino. Along the route, there are various access points. The route leads past the charming Kahnwirt and Kircherwirt inns before climbing up the alpine path to the Versellalm and on to the Tolderhütte hut. A particular highlight are the extensive, carefully tended alpine pastures, which can be explored during a guided tour. These alpine pastures have been extensively enhanced: new fences were installed, and about a dozen old barns were faithfully restored or rebuilt in their original design using traditional materials. This carefully crafted cultural landscape shows the harmonious interplay of nature and traditional alpine farming. Refreshments possibility. Difficulty: medium. Length: 45 km. From the stunning Lake Misurina along the wide hiking trail via the Grave di Pogata and Forcella Maraia to the Città di Carpi refuge 2100 m. Along the way there are magnificent views of the rocks of the Marmarole and Sorapiss group. A wonderful resting place in the middle of the majestic Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, which invites to a stop and to feel the energy of the mountain landscape. It is also possible to use the Col de Varda chairlift, which reduces the tour by about half. The return path includes small variations and leads back to the starting point. Refreshments possibility. A special highlight: the freshly baked Strauben, lovingly prepared by the Val Casies farmers' wives, served on 25 July, 8 August and 22 August. A market full of charm, authenticity and local heart – perfect for browsing, tasting and taking home a piece of the valley. In case of bad weather, the market takes place in the Ribisen festival hut.

On August 9, 2025, the South Tyrol CUP of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Youth will stop in Tesido, marking the second of three competition stages. Young firefighting teams will compete with skill, speed, and teamwork to secure victory. Spectators can look forward to an exciting competition day filled with action, modern firefighting technology, and true camaraderie.
