The Plonerhof winery in Marling invites you to an exclusive wine tasting and cellar tour every Thursday at 3:00 PM, year-round (except during harvest). Experience how passion and expertise create exceptional wines. During the tour, you will learn interesting details about viticulture and wine production. In the cellar, the secrets of winemaking will be revealed. Finally, the wine tasting completes this unique experience. At the Plonerhof winery, a variety of wines are produced on steep vineyard rows with inclines of up to 40%. The house’s cuvées are especially impressive, standing out for their unique diversity and the combination of exceptional grapes. The winery is located in a unique position, where the interplay of climate, soil, and the mountain ranges around Merano creates ideal conditions for viticulture. The Franz Gojer winery is a small family business whose history begins in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalen wine-growing area on the northern sides of Bolzano. In 2007, the family bought a second farm in Karneid in order to also offer white wine in the assortment. A large cellar was also built in Karneid, where all the production of the wines now takes place, as well as an architecturally interesting tasting room. During a wine tasting, you will learn more about the history of the Gojer family as well as their work throughout the year and taste the wines full of character, which unmistakably demonstrate their origin. Guided tours always take place on Thursdays at 04:00 p.m. Also possible on other days on request. Only with advance reservation.

On Friday, May 30th, 2025 wein.kaltern will be presenting some of the very best 2024 Kalterersee wines and other red wines at an outdoor event on the Marktplatz main village square. Fresh, fruitly, and lightly chilled... this lively event is enhandced with music and traditional, local specialties from the kitchen. The Laurins Nächte (King Laurin's Nights) in Welschnofen | Nova Levante have become a true tradition and are an essential part of the summer in the mountains. In summer, eisacktalWein organises the traditional wine tasting "Treffpunkt Wein" under the large arcades in Brixen in collaboration with the Brixen Tourismus Genossenschaft. Several Eisack Valley winegrowers will set up their tables in the arcades and present their wines to a wide audience. There will also be cheese variations from DeGust Affineur and specialities from Naturbackstube Profanter. This special wine evening will also be accompanied by music.

In August, as part of Dine, Wine & Music, local gastronomy serves up gastronomic specialities paired with excellent wines from the Eisacktal Valley in front of the dreamlike backdrop of the Brixen Cathedral. Local hosts prepare their finest summer dishes, and you can try them all. The evening is rounded off by vibrant live music.

The historic Popphof winery cordially invites you to its farm festival on Thursday, August 14, starting at 4:30 pm! Starting from the village center, the nature and landscape enthusiast Martin leads you along a trail that winds through quiet streets, passing by the Cantina Merano Winery and several other local wineries. Along the way, you’ll encounter informative panels about the history and culture of wine, as well as larger-than-life winegrowing constructions. This approximately 1, ½ -hour walk concludes with a wine tasting at a local winery in Marling or the Cantina Merano Winery in Marling. Guided by a winemaker or cellar master, you’ll enjoy a selection of local wines paired with a traditional “Marendbrettl” (South Tyrolean snack). For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 4th and Friday 5th 2025, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

ONLY GERMAN AND ITALIAN SPEAKING GUIDE Guided hike with Lorenz Fischnaller. Slow Food Travel - The pleasure of slow hiking. An eventful hike together to St Sepulchre's Hill with its chapel, trenches and rock bunker. We enjoy the beautiful view over the middle Eisack valley. We also learn interesting facts about the history, culture and landscape. We walk through the village to the wine-growing lookout point of the Eisacktal valley winery below, where selected wines are tasted in the middle of the vineyards. At the Torgglerhof farm, hiking guide Lorenz Fischnaller tells us about the past and present work on the small farm over a Slow Food aperitif. Farmer's wife Margareth serves up delicacies from the home garden and local farms to accompany the tasting of the mineral crystal wine. We then walk back to the village and visit the special exhibition ‘Noble Stones - Noble Tones’ in the museum. At the Huaberhof farm next door, we finish with a tasting of biodynamic wine.
