Shreefpunk is a working band that combines jazz with avantgarde and punk. Matthias Schriefl founded the group in 2003. They have already toured most countries in Europe, parts of West Africa, and Australia. Along the way, the band performed in numerous large concert halls and philharmonics. On their first CD, the core lineup was supported by Django Bates; for their next CD, an entire big band was engaged, and on their latest CD, the musicians perform together with classical string instruments.
