Passer Gorge: A spectacular water trail from Moos to St. Leonhard. Discover rock formations, forest paths, and Andreas Hofer's birthplace.
The Passer Gorge Spectacle – From Moos to St. Leonhard in the Passeier Valley
We travel by coach through the Passeier Valley to Moos. This is the starting point of the Gorge Trail, which opened in June 2015. This unique path offers hikers an up-close look at an impressive world of water, featuring rocks hollowed out by the force of the mountain stream and boulders of various colors. Steep slopes alternate with romantic stretches of forest, while boardwalks and stairs wind along the rock faces, leading us down to Gomion and finally to St. Leonhard, the main village of the valley. After a lunch break with an opportunity for refreshments, we will continue our hike to the "Sandwirt," the birthplace of the Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer, where our coach will be waiting for the return journey.
Sturdy hiking boots, sun and rain protection; clothing appropriate for the season and destination, drinks.
