Guided hike along the lower Günther Messner Trail

Start: 9.30 am at the bus stop "Abzweigung Afers". Via the lower Günther Messner trail, the route leads across the meadow Rodelwiesen towards the Peitlerscharte and on to Würzjoch. From there to the Costaces viewpoint and back to the Würzjoch. Travelling by bus is recommended!
Route data: distance 10.6 km, ascent 642 m, descent 388 m, pure walking time 4 h
A good level of fitness is required for this alpine hike!

Please bring:
Hiking clothing and sturdy footwear
A small packed lunch with a drink
Sun protection and rainwear

Price: for free
Participants: min. 2 persons
Reservation: within the day before at the Nature Park Visitor Center Puez-Geisler or the Tourist Information Office.

    Junction Afers/Villnöss valley
    Getting to the starting point of the tour is easy and convenient.
    By bus from Klausen/Chiusa or Brixen/Bressanone through Villnöss/Funes valley in direction Würzjoch (bus stop Abzweigung Afers). Online timetable search at www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/

    By car:
    Through the Eisack/Isarco Valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to St. Peter. Continue from there on the road in direction to Würzjoch pass until you reach the little car park at Junction Afers.
