Guided via ferrata with the Alpine School: Alpinisteig

The Alpinisteig is one of the most impressive historic via ferratas in the Sesto Dolomites. It was built during the First World War by Italian Alpine troops and leads through a stunning high-mountain landscape with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Although the via ferrata is technically fairly straightforward, it should not be underestimated due to its length and the possibility of snowfields – particularly at the start of the season.

Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, you’ll enjoy a varied tour that combines history, nature and alpine adventure. Guests staying overnight at the Zsigmondy Hut can also start the tour directly from there.

Meeting point & start time

The meeting point and start time will be agreed individually with the mountain guide, depending on the weather, season and accommodation. Guests staying at the Zsigmondy Hut can be collected directly from there.

The tour is expected to run until the end of October. As it is subject to weather and seasonal conditions, we recommend confirming your preferred date in advance directly with the Alpine School.
