Les Mémoires d'une seigneure
Les Mémoires d'une seigneure makes its Italian premiere at Bolzano Danza/Tanz Bozen 2026. The new all-female version of a work by Olivier Dubois — Artistic Director of the Festival for 2025–2027 — grew out of a workshop with a group of women and was developed at the CentQuatre in Paris.
On stage: Marie-Laure Caradec, a long-standing interpreter of the company, and a chorus of 50 women from Bolzano and its surroundings, selected through an open call.
The performance unfolds along three axes — tyranny, insurrection, civilisation — tracing the conflict between a queen and her people. The queen moves through many identities: sovereign, warrior, mother, fragile and powerful at once. Around her, a silent and determined community of women embodies tension, resistance and transformation. With echoes of ancient tragedy and Shakespearean drama, the stage unfolds as a succession of intense tableaux of great collective and visual impact.
