Skweres Trio Regensburg & Brixen: Ancient hoquetus from the Bamberg Codex meet new works – a musical bridge across time and cities.

center
The concert by the Skweres Trio from Regensburg is part of an exchange project between the twin cities of Regensburg and Brixen, in which works by composers from Regensburg and Brixen are presented in both cities. Since the Middle Ages were a golden age for both Regensburg and Brixen – the architecture of the Middle Ages still characterises the appearance of both old towns today – medieval music serves as a connecting link in the concert. Short hoqueti from the 12th-century Bamberg Codex will be played between the contemporary works. The new compositions refer in a variety of creative ways to the music and art or the spirit of the Middle Ages.
