Galleria Doris Ghetta presents a solo exhibition in Ortisei by Alessandro Artini (Tione di Trento, 2000). His practice is rooted in the Alpine landscape, exploring its symbolic and perceptual dimensions.
The new series focuses on snow as a constantly shifting surface that preserves and erases. The mountain emerges as an atmospheric, unstable environment rather than a fixed place. Instead of depicting specific sites, Artini reconstructs landscapes through memory and shared Alpine imagery, reflecting on collective imagination.
Avoiding environmental rhetoric, his work emphasizes human presence within nature, inspired by Andrea Zanzotto. The title It’s cold outside suggests both a seasonal condition and an emotional distance.
A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Artini developed his practice at Atelier F under the guidance of Carlo Di Raco, who also authored the curatorial text. His painting balances recognisability and abstraction.
