It's healthy, delicious and packed with vitamins: the South Tyrolean apple. Here in Schenna, this popular fruit has everything it needs to truly thrive: sun, elevation and the Alpine-Mediterranean climate. How these advantages affect its taste and what needs to be considered in cultivation, harvest, and storage is revealed in this educational walk with apple farmer Stefan along the new wine and apple trail "bacchus & pomina" on the Mitterplattweg path. The tour is rounded off with a tasting of apples and apple juice at the starting point of the "bacchus & pomina" wine and apple trail.

    Meeting point is the public swimming pool Schenna (Alte Straße 12), free parking is available there.
    Arrival by public transport: Bus line 231 (every 12 minutes) from Merano (stop about 100 m away).

    The ticket can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days before the hike, after which 50 percent of the ticket price will be charged. For cancellations on the day of the event and in case of no-shows, no refund will be given.
    The ticket includes the guide and tastings.
