The K. Plattnerforum combines art and culture, telling the story of the Vinschgau Valley and its neighbouring regions, of tradition and avant-garde, and of bridges between generations.
The K. Plattnerforum is an initiative of bunkers23, the Resia Lake holiday region, the Office for Culture, and the Municipality of Mals.
The forum was founded on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Karl Plattner’s death in his birthplace of Mals by Othmar Prenner and Daniel Costa.
Over a period of two years, two selected artists will be honoured while also commemorating Karl Plattner.
An emerging artist (Philip Silvestro Geier) and an artist with a mature body of work (Kurt Hofer) meet at the K. Plattnerforum, creating a newly defined connection to Plattner’s artistic work and to the Vinschgau Valley.
