Opas Diandl from South Tyrol has neither a genre nor a concept: Opas Diandl has character!

Drawing on the traditions of Alpine folk music, Veronika Egger, Markus Prieth, Michael Hackhofer, Jan Langer and Thomas Lamprecht arrange old tunes and dances, compose their own yodels, write instrumental pieces and skilfully weave in their very personal musical influences – ranging from Baroque to punk rock.

They feel most at home where music can do without technical amplification, where the band can be close to the audience – not only sensing their presence, but inspiring them to feel and experience the music together.
