Concert - Apollo5

Named after the Greek god of music, Apollo5 have been proving for more than fifteen years that a soprano, a mezzo-soprano, two tenors and a bass can indeed sound divine together. As one of the smallest yet most impressive vocal groups in the UK, Apollo5 have gained international recognition for their rich, dynamic and distinctive sound. With a repertoire ranging from Renaissance music and classical and contemporary choral works to folk, jazz and pop, the ensemble’s five voices bring five centuries of music to life. To date, the group has released seven successful studio albums and regularly tours throughout Europe, the USA and Asia.

The ensemble also places great importance on working with young people. As part of the VOCES8 Foundation, Apollo5 collaborate with VOCES8 and Paul Smith, reaching more than 40,000 young people every year in the UK, Europe and the USA through workshops, masterclasses and concerts. Apollo5’s performances are “pure balm for the ears and soul”, wrote the Badische Zeitung. With a concert programme entitled “A Day in Paradise”, that promise seems more fitting than ever.
