Theatre: Geheimnisse in german language

Meran/Merano, Meran/Merano and environs

By Sébastien Blanc // In German by Georg Holzer. A guest performance by the St. Pauli Theatre, Hamburg

from center
Fabien had actually just wanted to watch the French Open final with his best friends, the twins Éric and Jérôme. Just like every year. Three blokes, a good bottle of wine (or several) and top-class tennis. But Éric turns up deliberately early. He confides a big secret to Fabien, one that will fundamentally change his twin brother’s life, as well as his own. No sooner has Éric left than Jérôme rings the doorbell, completely distraught. He, too, wants to ease his conscience. He, too, has a secret to confess that concerns his brother. Bound by a vow of friendship to keep both secrets, Fabien tries to keep them to himself and prevent the looming complete rift between the two brothers.
Sébastien Blanc’s comedy of manners is packed with slapstick and sarcastic wordplay. TV star Sebastian Bezzel, known for his role as police officer Eberhofer in the cult Bavarian series, demonstrates his stage talent in the dual role of the twin brothers. Götz Otto, known among other things as the James Bond villain from *Tomorrow Never Dies*, plays the third member of the trio, who finds himself caught between the two sides.
