A compelling film on the future of mobility: Ingwar Perowanowitsch takes the audience on a bicycle journey through Europe's most bike-friendly cities.
In May 2025, journalist and filmmaker Ingwar Perowanowitsch sets off on a cycling journey to Europe’s most beautiful cycling cities. His route takes him from Freiburg to Paris, via Ghent, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Hamburg, all the way to Copenhagen. He wants to find out how these cities have successfully achieved the mobility transition and what Germany can learn from them.
With his camera, Perowanowitsch documents how the cities have changed over recent years and decades, speaks on site with politicians, transport planners and activists, and explains which measures and strategies ultimately led to success.
The result is a visually powerful film that tells a new story of mobility. A film that inspires, encourages reflection and invites us to rethink our cities from the ground up.
The film will be shown in German at the Kassianeum in Brixen.
