International Observe the Moon Night in South Tyrol

Lana, Meran/Merano and environs
from center

Very close to the moon: The association of amateur astronomers "Max Valier" EO invites you to a joint sky observation as part of the international NASA initiative "International Observe the Moon Night". At four locations in South Tyrol – including the campsite in Gargazon and the sports zone in Lana – telescopes will be available to observe the Earth's companion up close.

Two representatives of the association will be present at the stations, explaining the visible lunar craters and answering questions about astronomy. Participation is completely informal: interested individuals can simply stop by without registration and take part free of charge.

Note: The event will only take place in good weather. If the weather is poor, the observation will be cancelled.
