Along the trail, magnificent views open up of Misurina, the Dolomites and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The starting point is the Popena bridge on the access road to Lake Misurina. The trail follows the Popena stream, where the valley opens and the first impressive Dolomite peaks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, come into view. A gentle ascent leads to the Sella di Popena with a magnificent view of Misurina and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. The return follows the same route. Backpacking provisions. Refreshments possibility in a mountain hut at the end of the tour.
