A project by Caroline Barneaud and Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll)
In collaboration with Eurac Research
What happens when scientific research is not communicated in lecture halls or through the media, but emerges from a direct encounter between people — in someone's living room? With Book a Scientist, Transart and Eurac Research bring themes and perspectives from contemporary research directly into the homes of those who want to get closer to science.
The project creates moments of dialogue between researchers and small groups of participants, brought together by whoever hosts the gathering within their own network. This is neither a lesson nor a lecture, but a participatory experience conceived by Caroline Barneaud and Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll). The conversations draw on the research paths of the invited scientists and explore topics such as the environment, climate change, sustainable development, autonomy, minority research, health and biomedicine. An invitation to explore new perspectives together and to create a space for exchange on the scientific questions of our present.
