Kinderfestival 2026

The Kinderfestival returns to Bolzano for four days of street theatre, music, creative workshops and family entertainment. The event takes place in the garden of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano and along the Talvera riverside promenade (Via Talvera 18, Bolzano), with two additional venues: the Civic Library at Via Museo 47 and the courtyard of the Free University of Bolzano (Piazza Università).

More than 25 activity stations bring the festival to life for all ages. Regular daily features include magic shows with Peter Orlando/Mago Paladino, the Kasperl puppet theatre, creative workshops, children's book readings by Effekt Verlag, Family Freespace, geocaching with Lucy powered by Alperia, a carousel, a trampoline and pony rides (the latter two for a fee). El Grito's contemporary circus performs under a big top with Teatro Cristallo, accessible with a 2 € contribution.

Each day brings a different programme to the main courtyard, with rotating artists and companies. Full daily schedules are available at kinderfestival.it.

New this year: the exhibition "Gentilezza" created with the A.-Langer School, organised by PLUS ART in collaboration with Teatro Cristallo, and the new Pensplan Centrum station.

Admission is free. Some activities require a fee (pony rides, trampoline, El Grito circus tent 2 €).
