ISU Junior World Cup & championship – speed skating

The world's best junior speed skaters come to the Ritten again. On the 1 & 2 and the 7 - 9 February 2025, the world's fastest open-air rink in the Ritten Arena will once again be the venue for a major speed skating event. Junior World Cup at Ritten, Schedule: Saturday, February 1, 2025: Starting at 9 a.m. 1000 meters men and women 3000 meters men and women Team Sprint Sunday, February 2, 2025: Starting at 9 a.m. Mass Start Qualification men and women 500 meters men and women 1500 meters men and women Mass Start Final men and women Junior World Championships at Ritten, Schedule: Friday, February 7, 2025: Starting at 9 a.m. 500 meters men and women 1500 meters men and women Mass Start Qualification men and women Saturday, February 8, 2025: Starting at 10 a.m. 1000 meters men and women 3000 meters men and women Sunday, February 9, 2025: Starting at 10 a.m. Team Pursuit men and women Team Sprint men and women Mass Start Final men and women Mixed Relay men and women The Junior World Cup is the second of the four stages of the Junior World Cups. World Cups have already been successfully held in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017 & 2023. Up to 250 young talents from 25 nations are expected on the Ritten to compete for the desired medals and World Cup points. Participants will include competitors in the Junior A and B categories (ages 15 to 19) and Neo Seniors (ages 20 to 23), potentially featuring three athletes from Ritten, provided they qualify. These athletes include Maybritt Vigl, Romedius Thurner (both Neo Seniors), and Carmen Thurner.
