Join Johannes, the alpine dairyman at Kreuzwiesen Alm and a certified cheese sommelier, as he demonstrates how high-quality alpine milk is transformed into delicious cheese and carefully matured. Learn about the long-standing tradition of alpine farming in South Tyrol and discover why ruminants play such an important role in sustainable agriculture. During the alpine cheese tasting, you'll experience the rich variety and unique flavours of traditionally handcrafted cheeses.

    Everything you need to know

    Kreuzwiesen Alm or Zalnerhof
    To the Kreuzwiesen Alm:
    After passing through the center of Lüsen, turn left at the Hotel Bergschlössl toward Rungg / Lüsner Alm. Follow the road for about 7 km to the Schweiger Böden parking lot. From there, continue on foot: either via the Schmalzhaussteig trail in about 1 hour or via the forest road in about 1.5 hours to the Kreuzwiesen Alm.

    Zalnerhof:
    The Zalnerhof is located along the same route in Lüsen-Rungg, just before the Naturhotel Lüsnerhof on the left-hand side. You can also reach the farm on foot in about 30 minutes from the village center.

    In case of cancellation, a return of the participation fee is possible only if the cancellation is made before 4.00 pm of the previous day. If the cancellation is made by the participant after 4.00 pm, the costs are charged 100% to the participant. In case of no show no other offer can be made use of and no money will be refunded.
    In case of cancellation by the organiser, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded (for example, if the minimum number of participants is not reached).
    *The tasting is an integral part of the tour and must in any case be paid for separately on site by each participant in addition to the participation fee.
