The Vipiteno Hunting Reserve cordially invites the female and male hunters of South Tyrol to the Provincial Championship in the disciplines of Alpine skiing, sledging, and ski mountaineering, which will take place on Saturday, 26 January 2026, in Vipiteno, at the Monte Cavallo Ski Area.
Participation is open to female and male hunters who are members of South Tyrolean hunting reserves and who appear on the official membership lists of the South Tyrolean Hunters’ Association at the time registration closes.
Competitors are allowed to compete exclusively in hunting clothing.
CLASSIFICATION AND AWARDS
Individual:
Each discipline will have its own ranking, divided into categories. The three best times in each category will be awarded, as well as the oldest female and male participant.
Team competition:
For the team ranking, the best-placed participant from each hunting reserve in the three disciplines will be considered.
In ski mountaineering, for the purposes of the team ranking, the last two digits of the time will be disregarded (example: 38:36:19 = 38:36).
The three best teams will be awarded.
Best overall times:
In each discipline, the participant with the best overall time will be awarded.
REGISTRATION
Registrations must be submitted by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, by e-mail to jagd-sterzing@outlook.com
, preferably by sending a combined list per hunting reserve.
The entry fee is €50 per person and includes participation in the respective competition and a lunch voucher (value €20).
Participants who require a ski pass or ascent/descent tickets will be able to obtain them from the Monte Cavallo ski area at a reduced price.
The entry fee must be paid by bank transfer to the Raiffeisen Bank, account holder “Riserva di caccia di Vipiteno”,

Reason for payment: “Quota di partenza GIORNATA PROVINCIALE DI SPORT INVERNALI 2026”.
A copy of the bank transfer receipt must be sent together with the registration.
DISTRIBUTION OF RACE BIBS
For all disciplines: at the Monte Cavallo valley station, starting from 7:30 a.m.
Race bibs will be assigned by hunting reserve and must be returned at the finish area.
PARTICIPATION DETAILS
Alpine skiing:
Giant slalom (1 run).
Slope: “Telferpiste Sonne”.
Start: 10:30 a.m.
HELMET MANDATORY!
Sledging:
Only with “Bock” or “Bauern” sleds, maximum weight 10 kg.
Slope: “Telferseite Sonne”.
Start: 10:00 a.m.
HELMET MANDATORY!
Ski mountaineering:
From Wetterkreuz to Wunschglocke, approx. 570 meters of elevation gain.
Start: 9:30 a.m.
LUNCH, AWARD CEREMONY, RAFFLE
Lunch vouchers can be redeemed at the Monte Cavallo ski area.
The award ceremony and prize draw will take place from approximately 3:00 p.m. at the valley station.
