Thea Prenner opens a new photography exhibition series

With the exhibition "Moments of Nature", the Museum of Nature South Tyrol opens the first show of the 2026 photography series born from the Open Call dedicated to nature photography. Opening the series is Thea Prenner from Bronzolo/Branzoll, selected together with three other photographers by an independent jury from the submissions received.

Prenner's photographs, taken between 2020 and 2025, take the public on a photographic journey through nature across the changing seasons, portraying plants, animals and landscapes of South Tyrol and beyond: from spring awakening in the garden to poppy fields along the Adige, through to autumn forests and Dolomite landscapes.

At the centre of the exhibition are not spectacular natural events, but special moments that often go unnoticed in everyday life: the play of light and shadow, the geometric perfection of a seed head, a mallard resting in the current, or a butterfly lit by the early morning light. Through her photographs, Thea Prenner invites viewers to observe nature more closely and rediscover the hidden beauty in the simplest things.

The exhibition is part of the Open Call for nature photography promoted by the Museum of Nature South Tyrol, an initiative that gives photographers the opportunity to present their view of nature to a wide audience.
