Südtirol Jazzfestival: Matteo Paggi - GIRAFFE

The giraffe stands for farsightedness: its head floats freely while emotion burns in its chest. This image inspired trombonist Matteo Paggi and his quintet, who transform the Tschumpus – a converted prison courtyard – into a place of musical freedom. Where walls once imposed constraints, precise compositions now converge with free improvisation and electronic ambient soundscapes. The music tells stories and touches the soul.
