The Stelvio weaving studio – Where threads weave history

Immerse yourself in the history of the mountain village of Stelvio and get to know the Stilzer Webnetz association.

Immerse yourself in the history of the mountain village of Stelvio and get to know the Stilzer Webnetz association. A short introduction explains the importance of weaving for the region and the preservation of this traditional craft.

The weaving workshop then offers fascinating insights into the art of weaving. Ancient techniques, materials, and working methods make it possible to experience how valuable textiles are created from individual threads.

A special experience is hands-on work at the table loom: under the guidance of experienced weavers, participants can create small samples and learn the basics of this ancient craft in practice.

Meeting point: 10:30 a.m. at the weaving studio in Stelvio
Duration: approx. 1 hour

    at 10.30 am at the Stelvio weaving studio
    By car:
    Take the SS38 towards Spondinig via Prato allo Stelvio, continuing to Gomagoi. In Gomagoi, turn right towards Stelvio. Parking is available approx. 100 m after the weaving studio.

    By bus:
    Bus line 271 – timetable information is available upon registration at the information office or at https://www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/#/
    Registration by 5 p.m. the day before at the tourist offices in Sulden or Gomagoi
