Transart26 - Words and Music - Where Francis Walked

ransart's energy does not end with the September calendar. The festival reaches beyond its temporal boundaries to culminate in an exceptional Postludium: on 29 November, one of the most influential and profound voices of our time returns to NOI Techpark in Bolzano — Patti Smith.

Following her appearance at Transart in 2010, the "priestess of rock" returns with the project Words and Music – Where Francis Walked, a performance that bears witness to her deep bond with the figure of Saint Francis, rooted in her visit to Assisi in 2012. In 2026, on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the Saint's death, Patti Smith accepted the invitation of the Franciscan community of Assisi and composed the poem "Where Francis Walked". The concert will be devoted to the songs, poems, texts and experiences that have shaped the personal and spiritual life of the American artist.

A long-awaited return — an evening of pure poetry and spiritual resonance.
