Cooking Event at the “Roter Hahn” Cookery School: „Knödel-Spezial“

Dumplings are among the best-known dishes of South Tyrol’s traditional farm cuisine and have held a firm place on the tables of farming families for generations. Made from simple ingredients and shaped with great skill and craftsmanship, they have given rise to a wide variety of creations that continue to delight young and old alike. At this cooking event, we will explore the many varieties of this South Tyrolean classic. Together, we will prepare both savoury and sweet dumplings, learn traditional techniques and give time-honoured recipes a contemporary twist. Discover how a dish that has been part of South Tyrol’s rural food culture for centuries can still create special moments of culinary delight today.

Event Description
Participants can look forward to a four-course menu prepared with local ingredients sourced from farms across South Tyrol.

Experienced culinary professionals, well-versed in South Tyrolean cuisine, will guide you through a delightful evening of traditional farm cooking and provide fresh inspiration for both familiar and lesser-known dishes.

You can look forward to exciting tips and tricks in the cooking school’s kitchen. Not only will you have the opportunity to get hands-on and prepare the dishes yourself, but you will also be able to enjoy the dishes you have cooked throughout the evening.

Together around the large table, the “tavolata”, the dishes prepared by the participants will then take centre stage, accompanied by carefully selected wines.
