Farm Hike in the Ulten Valley (Ultental) - Mountain Meadows and Ancient Larches
We drive by bus into the Ulten Valley to St. Nikolaus (1,256 m), where our hike begins. Starting from the northern edge of the village, the trail leads through spruce forests and alpine meadows further into the valley. We will pass ancient farmhouses and traditional stables until we reach St. Gertraud (1,518 m).
In St. Gertraud, we will stop at a local inn for lunch. Afterward, the hike continues back down the valley, passing the famous Ancient Larches (Urlärchen), until we return to St. Nikolaus. Here, our circular hike concludes, and the bus will be waiting for the journey home.
Sturdy hiking boots, sun and rain protection, drinks, and snacks for the trail.
