What does everyday life feel like for a person living with dementia? What support is available in the Venosta Valley for older people and their families? You can find answers to these and many other questions at the “Diversity of Later Life” information and experience trail, organised by the “Dementia-Friendly Venosta Valley” initiative as part of the “Selber-gmocht” market.
On Saturday, 29 August, Plawenn Square in Silandro will become a place for meeting, discovery and exchange from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Social Affairs – Health – Volunteering Network—comprising the outpatient care service, care homes in the Venosta Valley, the home nursing service, Silandro Hospital, the Caritas Hospice Movement, KVW-Arche, the support administration service and the library—warmly invites you to discover the wide range of services available to older people and their families.
At 14 information stands, you can learn more about care, assistance and support in later life. Explore topics such as aroma care, kinaesthetics, meaningful daily activities, services provided by care homes, and training and career opportunities in the care sector. A special highlight will be the interactive stations focusing on dementia. Anyone who completes the entire trail can look forward to a small surprise.
Younger visitors will also be well catered for, with a variety of games to enjoy.
Come along, find out more, try the activities and experience the diversity of later life! We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday, 29 August, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Plawenn Square in Silandro.
