Panoramic hike to Kassianspitze (2,581 m) with Dolomite views, Villanderer Alm landscapes and a stop at Latzfonser Kreuz.
We travel by coach into the Sarntal Valley to Reinswald, where our hike begins at the valley station of the cable car. The ride up to the Pichlberg Alm (2,150 m) saves us around 560 metres of ascent. From the mountain station, we hike towards the Getrum Alm, accompanied by magnificent views of the Dolomites. Before reaching the mountain pass known as the “Lückl,” we ascend to the summit of Kassianspitze (2,581 m), a panoramic peak offering spectacular 360-degree views.
After our summit break, the trail descends partly along steeper and rocky sections to the Latzfonser Kreuz. Following a short stop at the mountain inn, we continue across the scenic plateau of the Villanderer Alm back to the cable car station, where the bus awaits for the return journey.
