Procession of San Cassiano and Day of the patron of the diocese

Brixen/Bressanone, Brixen/Bressanone and environs
from center
The solemn procession into Bressanone Cathedral begins at 9 a.m. for the festive mass with Bishop Ivo Muser. At around 10.15 a.m., the procession of St. Cassian begins with the holy relics through the streets of the town, accompanied by local bands and the Brixen citizens' band, the marksmen, clubs and associations. The procession is opened by the processional flag and the parish of Vahrn. This is because the people of Vahrn saved the relics of the diocesan saints from theft and desecration during the French period.

Processional route: Cathedral, Cathedra square, Brunogasse, Runggadgasse, Goethestraße, Kassianstraße, Regensburger Alle, Kleiner Graben, Großer Graben, Weißenturmgasse, Pfarrplatz, athedra square, Cathedral.
