Music Image Poetry
The combination of music, images and poetry creates a kaleidoscope of the senses, a view ‘beyond things’. Atmospheric emotions are awakened in the rhythm of the seasons. The fascination and beauty of small things and large contexts are made audible, visible and tangible.
The project by Unknown Brass, nature photographer Sepp Hackhofer and reciter Irene Moroder becomes a synaesthetic experience that allows for contemplative observation and in-depth realisation.
Unknown Brass is a brass quintet with a classical line-up. Andreas Oberkofler, Gerhard Mohr, Karl Tasser, Robert Regensberger and Jochen Haidacher have been playing in the same line-up for 30 years and practise interpreting a wide variety of music. Their repertoire includes adaptations of classical works, original compositions, light music and genuine folk music. In its long history, unknown brass has given numerous concerts at home and abroad and realised a wide variety of projects with many musicians, instrumental and vocal groups. The ensemble has also been invited to appear on various television programmes and has recorded several albums. The first major success of unknown brass was 2nd place at the international brass competition in Passau in 1997. The musicians of the ensemble come from the South Tyrolean Pustertal and its side valleys.
Let yourself be guided in the Val Gardena railway tunnel by sounds, images and poetry. The unique space enhances the impact of the music and creates a dense, immersive atmosphere. Combined with striking nature photography and selected texts, it becomes a multi-layered experience that invites you to listen, observe and reflect.
