Traditional Bread Baking at the Tholer Farm
The South Tyrolean kitchen is characterised by well-preserved old traditions. Elisabeth and Ernst of the Tholer farm let you sneak a peek behind the curtains and reveal to you their recipe for the traditional Paarl bread. Together you prepare the rye dough, form the bread and bake it in the old stone stove. You learn interesting facts about the rye cultivation and local baking tradition, and receive a recipe and some bread to take with you.
Our Tip: We recommend a comfortable journey with the Vinschgerbahn train from Algund to Rabland station. The Aschbach cable car is located directly opposite the station.
Highlight: With the Südtirol GuestPass Algund, the cable car ride is free of charge! Alternatively, there is plenty of parking available at the valley station.
