Mountain Hike in the Deepest Martell Valley – The Pederköpfl Scenic Viewpoint (2,586 m)
We travel by bus through the Vinschgau Valley to the very end of the Martell Valley, reaching the parking area at the head of the valley (2,060 m), our starting point. Passing the Enzian Hut, we ascend via a well-maintained forest path to the Peder Stier Alm. We continue across gentle slopes, with a final steeper stretch leading to the summit of the Pederköpfl. The view down to Lake Zufritt and across to the mighty glaciers of the Ortler Group is truly impressive. After a rest at the summit, we hike down through the idyllic Lyfi Valley to the Lyfi Alm, where the sunny terrace invites us for a break. After a leisurely stay, the path leads further down to Lake Zufritt, where our bus will be waiting.
