2nd Cattle Drive from the Villandro Alp

Villanders/Villandro, Brixen/Bressanone and environs

Cattle drive with a festive parade, music, folk dancing, farmers’ market, traditional crafts and South Tyrolean specialities.

The cattle drive starts at 11:00 a.m. at Ender-Gasteig and ends at the Gasser Hütte, with a festive parade under the motto “Zompockn und plindern.”

The celebrations continue with live music by “Die Klausberga” from the Ahrntal Valley and a performance by the Brixen folk dance group.

A farmers’ market offers farm-made products and traditional South Tyrolean handicrafts.
Food and drinks will be well provided for, with local farmers’ wives serving Krapfen, Zache-Wida and Strauben.

    Everything you need to know

    at the Gasserhütte
    Arrival by car:
    From Klausen/Chiusa, follow the road towards Villanders. After passing the village of Villanders, continue for approximately 8 km along the paved mountain road to the Gasser Hütte. Paid parking is available there.

    Arrival by public transport:
    From Klausen/Chiusa, take public bus no. 345 to the Gasser Hütte.
    Food and drink are provided by the farmers with Krapfen, Zache-Wida and Strauben.
