On 17 May, Museion transforms into a space for play, encounter and shared creation to mark International Museum Day. At the centre of the day is Painting Game, the participatory work by Canadian artist Adam Harrison.
More than a simple game, Painting Game is a dynamic creative device: watercolours, brushes, sheets of paper, dice and instruction cards guide the process — without ever limiting it. Participants sit together, draw a card, roll a die, and from that moment a visual dialogue unfolds, made of gestures, intuitions and coincidences. Each mark intertwines with those of others, giving life to compositions that no one could create alone.
No experience or preparation is needed: the game is open to all ages and all levels of ability. Mistakes become possibilities, chance transforms into language, and collaboration is the true creative engine. The result is not just a painting, but a shared process — a moment of connection where art and play merge.
