To open the Bolzano Festival Bozen symposium, artistic director Peter Paul Kainrath invites the public to a Welcome Talk. Drawing on the debates sparked during the final rounds of the most recent competition about the future of musical interpretation, he will offer an introduction to the central themes of the symposium.

The following day, renowned musicians, journalists and international experts will explore in depth questions of artistic identity, individuality and the role of the artist's personality in a constantly evolving music world.
