Opening ComeSe

Museion Bolzano presents the second chapter of Passage, a project developed in collaboration with the association La Strada – Der Weg and its "Invisibili" project team: ComeSe, a new installation by multidisciplinary artist Martina Melilli, on view until 31 January 2027.

The project grew out of a dialogue between Melilli and the young people involved in the initiative, through a process of listening, exchange, and closeness. At its heart lies a fundamental question: how do we wish to be seen? What images, stories, and possibilities can convey the complexity of experiences that often remain outside the public gaze?

The title ComeSe originated from an expression that repeatedly emerged during encounters between the artist and participants. Written as a single word yet carrying a double reading, it also evokes the image of comets: luminous bodies crossing the darkness, recognised only by those who take the time to stop and observe.

The installation unfolds inside Cubo Garutti and extends into the urban space through two public poster campaigns created in collaboration with graphic design studio Bar 1/2. With ComeSe, Cubo Garutti once again becomes a place of encounter where art opens possibilities for listening, creates connections, and brings closer what usually remains invisible.
