Orizzonti Creativi - The Value of Land

As part of the Orizzonti Creativi Festival, a talk invites reflection on the true value of a piece of land. Gianluca Grilli and Mirco Tonin will speak at Casa della Pesa (Aquarium) in "The Value of Land," an off-festival event held in collaboration with Casa della Pesa.

What is a piece of land really worth? Not just its market price, its agricultural yield, or its building value. A piece of land is also worth what it quietly produces every day: clean water, soil fertility, landscape, biodiversity, protection, collective wellbeing. The talk explores how environmental economics can help make these hidden values visible, without turning nature into a commodity, and how learning to recognize them can also guide everyday choices. Because what has no price should never be treated as if it had no value.
